ATEC Joins The Forever Manchester Birthday Party

Forever Manchester Birthday Party

Welcomes ATEC for the first time.

“Oh what a night” !!

A group of ATEC employees led by Andrea Hough OBE, joined nearly 400 Greater Mancunians to celebrate Forever Manchester in supporting local people doing extraordinary things together in neighbourhoods across our regions. The event took place at the Principal hotel in Manchester.

This event has raised over £45,000 so far !

10 Lucky ATEC Employees

Joined in the celebrations. They were drawn from a raffle of employees who had taken part in the baking event held in our offices in October. Check out the link for more detail on the baking event http://www.atenginecontrols.com/caketober-2016/

Phil Jones MBE (Forever Manchester President), started the night with a great speech. The night continued with excellent talent from community groups and projects. They were supported by donations from individuals and companies just like ATEC.

Poet in Residence, Tony Walsh closed the night with his newest poem, “Who We Are”, which he performed for the first time. A recording of the poem can be found on the Forever Manchester website.

This is Charity the Mancunian Way

Forever Manchester is a charity that funds and supports community activity across Greater Manchester. Since 1989 Forever Manchester have delivered over £36 million into local communities benefiting 1.1million people. ATEC joined the Manchester million in 2014 as a corporate supporter. We are looking to further strengthen this support by setting up a volunteer program with our employees. Doing something more local  and community based with Forever Manchester seemed like the perfect way to go for us. We particularly liked their approach which starts from a place of possibilities, strengths and capacities as opposed to problems and deficiencies. A strength based approach helps residents and organsiations to manage change by mobilizing their existing and potential capabilities and resources
